This AHA course is designed for advanced healthcare providers in enhanced cardiac care.
ACLS Update Course is an advanced, instructor-led classroom course that highlights the importance of team dynamics and communication, systems of care, and immediate post-cardiac-arrest care. It also covers airway management and related pharmacology. In this course, skills are taught in large, group sessions and small, group learning and testing stations where case-based scenarios are presented.
Intended Audience: The ACLS Update Course is designed for healthcare professionals who either direct or participate in the management of cardiopulmonary arrest and other cardiovascular emergencies. This includes personnel in emergency response, emergency medicine, intensive care, and critical care units.
Please note: To attend this course, you must have already taken a Provider course in the last two years, or have taken a renewal course in the last two years, to take this course. If you have not, or if you need ACLS for the first time, you, must enroll in a New Provider course. To enroll please register for the ACLS Provider Course or call 505-217-3486 to sign up for a Provider course, instead of signing up for this class.
There is a mandatory pre-test for this course. Please bring a copy of the pretest, and your results, along with your ACLS manual, to the course with you.

Class starts promptly at the listed start time. Please arrive 10-15 minutes before class is scheduled to start so that you may sign in and the instructor can go over any administrative information that needs to be covered. All students must be in the class by 15 minutes after class start time. Any student who is not in class by then must reschedule their course. No refunds will be issued.
